Hey everybody...

Overview of the week-long SK2010:

So Shine and I hit the road to embark on this new phase of a peaceful journey:). While driving (somewhere in Savannah) I wrote a song. So we sang the hook for awhile (I recorded it on the blackberry)....Then we stopped for gas and kept it moving. Eventually, we arrived to a series of hugs and shout outs from the SK Family:D. Oh did I mention SHINE got us lost before we got there...LOL:lol:!!! Oh and I have GPS....:roll:!

Anywho.....We ate some grub and then chatted before retiring for the evening. The next morning we broke into groups and the creative juices began to roll. Everyone put pen to paper and let the music happen. Crazy! Of course this wasn't it....this was the first day. More to go. Ok so we had seminars, group sessions, food, etc... YEAH! As always, I met some really cool folks and shared in some really though-provoking conversations:). Oh, i almost forgot....we spent some time at the theater in Mcrae and listened to several artist share their talents.

I can't post this without giving a shout-out to the group (Sage, Vincent, Mike, Me and KUKU) that worked it out in the back on the patio. Ha...talking about catepillars and butterflies! ;)! I believe we are soaring now~ You know it! Miss you all....We didn't get to share our song together due to my trip to Atlanta (Rev Ophelia had to share a word); nevertheless, you guys held it down and KUKU stood in the gap! Thank you.....

So here's the REVIEW:

I watched as folks came out of their shell. COOL8)!!! It is always nice to meet new folks (Hey Jenn). :D As always to sit with my musical mentor/brotha VINX. Thanks man! Keep doing what you do to assist with birthing the creative genius within us!

Ok....So now that I am back from the deepsouth...

LOL.... Ok maybe that was a bit extreme!! What was my take on the whole thing!?

My Story:

Picture if you will a big-eyed girl with bright ideas and fresh dreams....:roll: That same kid enters into the church world with those ideas and dreams to have them shattered in an instant.:( Why??? it did not look like what others were doing; so i became the rebel that could and hid for years. during this time I assisted others with self-awareness and discovery; In other words how to become what God created you to be. How to be in a group yet maintain your self-identity! Cool!

Years later, after helping so many, I watched as my so-called spiritually anointed & appointed from the Father leader/friends (I meant to say all of that) continued to promise, " Hey chica, your turn!" "The Lord wants me to assist you with this or that (HMMMMM!!) :dry:When the road twisted, they had other plans! Wow!! Ok....No problem! I decided to keep it moving and do what I knew was God' will for my life! Little by little and step by step.... During this time, some folks withheld information; No, they wouldn't share one inch. Still it was all good....it pushed me to utilize the research skills and continue digging for more.

Let's face it....the former ham turn shy girl was reborn!! we had some work to do! In fact, we all do! I had to forgive some people and move on!

So now I am 40 and FAB (lol)! I'm Feelin' Free!!:D I received an email from some cool kid to check out this guy named Vinx and his workshop/seminar called songwriter's Soul Kitchen. Basically the letter stated that it was the place for eclectic people. With that being said, I decided to check it out. After perusing the website, I took the leap of faith and registered. The result:

This kid was RIGHT! The vibe was ELECTRIC!:cool:

As a pastor, author, vocalist, comedian,mother etc.... I pour out all the time. it was cool to finally have someone pour back into me without hesitation. Vinx continued to ask me if I was getting what I needed. Whaa??? After all these years someone was concerned about me receiving....Of course my parents(Pastors Kent and Ruby George and my God-father (Pastor Larry Davies) are concerned! Outside of them was a different story entirely.... Vinx also told me to let him know if I needed anything! Most of the stuff i heard should have been taught years ago....Nevertheless, I am not mad! No... just extremely thankful to have experienced it. So cool.... i enjoyed my stay in the city of McRae. thank you Vinx and SK family!

Hey CHURCH folks one quick question. Are you really helping people grow or are you holding them back from being what they were created to be? So many sit in the church and have no idea why they are on this planet we call EARTH. Do you know? Dr Relefourd the wind blew and I caught it! This door opened in an unusual way and place and I embraced it; I walked right in and received much!

Conclusion:

I am going back for more! Oh yes! No tears here....Ok this one failed to do as promised and that one walked away. Cool! God has a ram in the bush! He has a plan! all we have to do is keep our eyes on Him! I m going were He has the table spread.
